Anne Lesage, Ph.D.

Chief Early Development Officer

Dr. Lesage is a co-founder of Pharvaris and has led the preclinical development since its inception. Anne has over 25 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical industry, including drug discovery, preclinical development, early clinical development and scientific, operational and strategic consulting. Anne is a senior expert in program management, due diligence, risk assessment, gap analysis, and designing and leading cost-effective strategies towards exits.

From 1992 till 2010, Anne held different leadership positions with increasing responsibility in the neuroscience drug discovery unit at Janssen Pharmaceutica (Johnson & Johnson). Anne is inventor on 9 patents and author on 45 publications. Anne is trained as biochemist and holds a Ph.D. in molecular biology. In 2010, Anne founded GrayMatters Consulting, and has been working with small and midsize biotech since then, consulting and engaging in interim positions to develop and leverage assets towards valorization.

In addition to her consultancy activities, Anne is co-founder of Kosa Pharma. Anne studied biochemistry at the University of Ghent, got her Ph.D in the group of Professor Walter Fiers, and was a post-doctoral fellow in the Child Psychiatry department of Stanford University Medical School and in the CNRS Laboratory of Viral Oncology of Hospital Paul Brousse in Paris.
